What is anodising? 

Anodising is an electrochemical process that converts the metal surface into a hard, protective oxide layer. This layer offers a number of advantages, including:

  • Increased corrosion resistance: the oxide layer protects the aluminium from attack by atmospheric agents, chemicals and salinity, making it ideal for applications in aggressive environments.

MAKINO A55e A60 MACHINING ALUMINIUM COMPONENTS

EMMEGI COMET R4 MACHINING ON PROFILES UP TO A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF APPROX. 4000 MM

CNC machining centre with 5 controlled axes dedicated to machining bars or workpieces made of aluminium, PVC, light alloys in general and steel up to 4 m in length. The 4th and 5th axes allow the electrospindle to rotate in NC from -15° to 90° on the horizontal axis and from -360° to +360° on the vertical axis in continuous operation, to perform machining operations on the upper face and on all the profile side faces. It has a 12-place tool magazine on the X-axis carriage that can also accommodate a disc milling cutter. It also has a mobile work table that facilitates workpiece loading/unloading and considerably increases the machinable section.
EMMEGI SATELLITE XT MACHINING ON PROFILES UP TO A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 8000 MM

5-axis CNC machining centre with mobile gantry, designed to perform milling, drilling, threading and cutting operations on bars or large workpieces made of aluminium, PVC, light alloys in general and steel. The mobile part of the machine consists of a gantry equipped with a precision rack-and-pinion drive. The high-power electrospindle (15 kW in S1) with HSK-63F tool attachment allows machining operations, even heavy duty, with excellent results in terms of speed and precision. The 24-place tool magazine, housed in the mobile gantry, is equipped with a swap arm system that considerably reduces tool change times. The 500 mm blade tool is housed separately in a dedicated magazine. It is possible to use the machine in pendulum mode, a working method that reduces machine downtime to a minimum, as it allows the workpiece change (loading/unloading) to be performed in ‘masked’ time. With the dynamic pendulum version, this functionality can be further enhanced, as clamp positioning can be done completely independently of the gantry. Furthermore, machining of different workpieces and between the two work areas is possible. It is equipped with a gantry characterisation that not only protects the operator but also reduces the environmental noise impact

MACHINING OF ALUMINIUM COMPONENTS

Ideal for High Precision Milling The horizontal machining centres of the MB-H series are equipped with a fast pallet changer and high axial acceleration on linear guides.

The machines are mainly used in production for the automotive industry, agricultural machinery, construction machinery or railway parts.

Automation via FMS guarantees a drastic reduction in set-up times. The Turn-Cut function allows synchronisation of the spindle speed with a circular interpolation in the X and Y axis, which is ideal, for example, when turning conical face grooves with helical interpolation, typical on butterfly valves.

The MB-H series machines can also be extended with numerous applications, such as the Super-NURBS high-speed control or the Machining Navi that reduces vibrations during machining.

Nr. 3 HAAS VF SS series vertical milling machines MACHINING ON PROFILES UP TO APPROX. 2000 MM

Haas super-fast vertical machining centres offer the high spindle speeds, fast feeds, and fast tool changes necessary for high-volume production with short cycle times. Each SS machine features a 12,000-rpm direct-drive inline spindle, an ultra-fast side-mounted tool changer, and high-speed rapids on all axes.

Quadrio machining centres are specially developed machines for specific 3-axis machining operations. They are ideal machines for milling and drilling operations on profiles, even with large thicknesses.
